I’m running for the Shawnee District School Board seat, and I want to be clear: I’m not running against anyone. I’m running for our kids, our teachers, and our community.
What sets me apart is experience and leadership. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to serve, lead, and listen in our community. That experience has taught me how to bring people together, how to find common ground, and how to turn good ideas into real results.
Why I’m running; not against someone else, but for us:
Because leadership is about shared purpose, not personal attacks. Because the issues we face like quality of education, school safety, teacher retention, and budget stewardship deserve thoughtful solutions, not divisiveness. Because I believe we can improve together and there is room. Because I believe in Frederick County, in our students, families, and in our teachers.
If you believe in:
✔ Putting students first in every decision
✔ Supporting our teachers and staff so they can grow & thrive here
✔ Ensuring safe and respectful schools
✔ Managing our budget responsibly so resources go where they’re needed most
✔ Leading with transparency and teamwork…because we’re all in this together
I believe strong leadership and real experience are what make the difference between talking about solutions and collaborating to get them done. It is needed now more than ever to achieve our combined goals and realize our focus.
Your voice matters. Your vote matters. I’d be honored to earn both.
Sincerely,
Chris Grassmuck
